2025 // HKWALLS FESTIVAL - HONG KONG
In March 2025, Stohead participated in the HKWALLS Festival in Hong Kong, one of Asia’s most renowned street art festivals. Right in the heart of the vibrant nightlife district of Lan Kwai Fong, in Central, he created a large scale public mural. This milestone project was realized as a cultural exchange initiative, supported by the Goethe-Institut Hong Kong and the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao.
Painted live during the festival week, the mural titled Rhythm & Vibration brings Stohead's signature calligraphic aesthetic into motion. Layer upon layer, letter upon color, gesture upon concrete. Positioned between the neon lights and bustling nightlife of the vertical metropolis, the artwork became a visual metronome, translating his urban style into an intercultural bridge.
This intensive journey to Hong Kong also served as the vital source of inspiration for his subsequent solo exhibition, The Double Headed Pigeon. 2013 // BIBO RESTAURANT
Realized by BIBO HKG and Galerie Le Feuvre Paris, Stohead contributed to the permanent artistic and visual identity of the premium dining venue BIBO (Bistro Bohème) on Hollywood Road.
The project transformed a discrete 1930s building into an immersive space where fine dining, heritage French art déco, and international urban art converged directly within the architectural shell.
Instead of acting as subsequent decoration, the artworks were integrated into the space during the raw construction phase. Stohead created extensive, site-specific installations, utilizing his signature ROUWNDY calligraphy on the restaurant's central columns and wall segments. The core piece features the meticulously layered statement “it’s not where you’re from, it’s where you’re at”, interacting with the structural layout and the changing light of the venue. Additionally, Stohead developed an exclusive, custom-designed typographic font for BIBO's corporate identity, which was utilized across all creative touchpoints, including the menu cards and dining vouchers.
The project stands as a historic intersection of global urban art movement, showcasing Stohead’s murals alongside a collection of works by KAWS, MIST, VHILS, Invader, and the King of Kowloon.
